Moisture is introduced into the blasting process from the hot humid air from the air compressor. Using a moisture trap is highly recommended to ensure proper material flow and proper blasting production. Commonly moisture traps are placed directly on the blasting equipment. In some cases operators prefer to use free standing moisture traps or multiple traps that are placed throughout the air supply line. When choosing a moisture trap ensure that the trap is rated for enough PSI and CFM that is produced by the air supply line and air compressor.
