Protecting the blast operator is easy to do with the correct equipment and gear. Many options exist for operator protection. O.S.H.A. requires all blast operators to be supplied with grade D breathing air and have active carbon monoxide monitoring while operating. When choosing appropriate PPE for operators always use the same manufacturer for all parts from air filter to blast hood. Never trust PPE from an unknown manufacturer to protect your life.
